The Wisconsin School of Business has been a part of my life for almost 35 years, since I first entered the Commerce Building as a young undergraduate student. Serving as interim dean while we search for the next Albert O. Nicholas Dean may well be a demonstration of the quality education I received here, and certainly is a tremendous honor and privilege.
For more than 100 years, the Wisconsin School of Business has been recognized as a leading provider of business education for the citizens of this state and well beyond it. For the better part of this century, we have drawn upon the vast knowledge and research resources of our world-class UW-Madison campus and business school to deliver relevant and cutting-edge programs to hundreds of businesses and their employees.
We partner with working professionals and firms of every size and scope to develop and grow internal capabilities that help meet business goals, year-after-year, and ensure strategy is executed effectively. Whether you are a firm looking to implement organizational change, or an individual in need of additional training, certification requirements or interested in moving forward in your career, our programs help to build leaders and prepare you with the tools necessary to solve work-related challenges quickly and successfully.
Our high-impact professional development courses and custom programming are ever-evolving to match the needs of today and make sure you will be ready to tackle real and emerging business problems. Our custom educational solutions have supported some of the most successful companies across the globe. We offer one of the largest course offerings among top-ranked business schools in the United States with more than 200 open enrollment programs in more than 80 business topics. We also provide in-depth certificate series options in 10 program areas.
The breadth of our offerings allows participants access to a body of knowledge across myriad functional areas, rounding out expertise necessary to transition either from one role to another or from a functional role into a management role. In keeping with the spirit of our full-time MBA career specialization model, you will also find niche programs at Executive Education that are unique to business education. Under our Business Growth category, we offer courses in sales management, product development and distribution channels. Other categories include: Business Operations, People Management and Process Management. We also offer certain business courses tailored to unique industries such as Insurance, Healthcare and Technology.
Intimate class sizes – typically less than 35 participants – and significant interactive exercises, give each participant full access to network and compare notes with peers facing the same challenges as you, and course leaders who have real-world business knowledge and years of experience teaching working professionals.
Our participants tell us that the close-knit community and flexibility of programming we provide at Wisconsin School of Business Executive Education makes learning fun and engaging. Our faculty is a combination of the best of real-world leaders straight from the field and skilled program directors, dedicated to a specific area of learning. Because of the applied curriculum offered, our participants remark on the immediate applicability of coursework when they return to the office. Many who attend class at our award-winning Fluno Center also mention leaving with the “Fluno Five” - a reference that pays homage to our tradition of outstanding dinning and snack bar offerings.
There is so much waiting for you at Wisconsin. I hope you will take time to peruse our website to discover how we may begin to help you achieve results in critical areas. Please follow updates from our programs on Facebook and Linkedin.
On, Wisconsin!
