Challenge
Following a successful spin-off that resulted in phenomenal business growth and success, the company realized it had a critical need to develop its human capital.
Strategy
A weeklong general management initiative was developed by the Custom Executive Education program of the Wisconsin School of Business in partnership with the firm. Its focus: leadership and global strategy for individuals in the company who had or would have key profit-and-loss responsibilities throughout the world in both mature and emerging markets. The curriculum was delivered by several members of the world-class faculty of the Wisconsin School of Business, tailored to meet the company’s particular needs.
Outcomes
The company received general management expertise in a time- and cost-efficient way. The firm reports that its employees have been able to strategically execute what they learned, helping the company realize a competitive advantage.
