With over 950 head of Holstein cows, and about 1000 calves born each year, this is not your grandparent’s dairy farm! This incredible business practices conservation and sustainability while producing award winning cheese. Their pampered cows receive plenty of exercise, fresh air and individualized care, being fed homegrown mixture of corn, alfalfa and soybeans. The cow's manure is converted into energy (enough to power the farm, the cheese factory and over 300 area homes) and organic fertilizer through a manure digester located on the farm.
