    Tim Aurand


    Tim Aurand is an associate professor of marketing at Northern Illinois University, where he teaches marketing strategy and brand management in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. He is a three-time winner of NIU’s Golden Apple Award recognizing his graduate teaching in NIU’s Executive and Professional MBA programs. He also has extensive experience in industry including marketing management positions at Honeywell, General Motors, and Caterpillar Tractor.

    Aurand's publishing interests focus upon branding, sports marketing, marketing of higher education, and reengineering. He’s been published in the Journal of Product and Brand Management, Marketing Management Journal, Journal of Marketing for Higher Education, the Journal of Sports Management, among others. He consults regularly with such firms as BP, Eastman, Discover Card, and Honeywell. He has a doctorate from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from Arizona State University.
