Shawn Belling

Shawn D. Belling has over 20 years of business leadership and project management experience. He works for EDL Consulting, an e-commerce consulting firm, where he leads client projects and internal product development using waterfall and agile methodologies. Shawn also teaches, speaks, and consults for businesses, universities, and professional organizations, including working as adjunct online faculty for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and University of California-Irvine and delivering face-to-face lectures at Lakeland College. He has given presentations to Project Management Institute (PMI) global conferences and local chapters. Shawn has been teaching project management since 2001.

Shawn’s past management/project management experience includes eight years of corporate IT project management for Promega Corporation and Foremost Farms USA, and work as vice president of sales and marketing with Discover Color, Inc. Shawn was a senior manager with J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc., where he developed and led a custom PMO called Keller Custom Solutions. While at Keller, Shawn led projects for many Fortune 100 companies, as well as state and federal agencies such as the U.S. Customs Service and U.S. Department of Transportation.

Shawn earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and received master's certification in project management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Science in Project Management degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He is a member of PMI and holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. Shawn is also a Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) through the Scrum Alliance. He is currently working on a doctorate in business administration (project management concentration) through the University of Management and Technology in Arlington, Virginia.
