Steven E. Bork has a strong marketing background, with an MBA in marketing from DePaul University and over 30 years of experience in marketing communications consulting and program supervision. He has prepared hundreds of marcom strategies for clients over the years and seen them through successful execution. In addition, Steve has successfully completed training in Philip Crosby’s Quality Education System, the University of Chicago’s Customer Satisfaction Program, and in branding with the Brand Establishment, a part of the Second Wind Agency Network.
Formerly a high school teacher, Steve began his marketing career as an account executive with Mark Anderson Associates, Inc., a business-to-business marketing communications firm. For 16 years, he managed its client growth, developed its service capabilities, and expanded operations to grow the firm and become a leading business-to-business agency in the Midwest.
In 1996, Steve formed Adventive Marketing, Inc. with three partners. Together, they have successfully grown the business, expanded its client base nationwide, and added new services for its clients’ global marketing operations. In his role as Adventive’s president, Steve manages the day-to-day operations, plus he consults on most clients’ integrated marketing plans. Steve’s specialties are in branding, market research, and Internet/interactive marketing.
