Cheryl Porior-Mayhew

As a member of the Ovation Marketing management group, Cheryl Porior-Mayhew builds relationships with prospective clients and leads teams to help them achieve their one-to-one marketing goals. She helps clients drill down to uncover the how’s, the what’s and the why’s of their brands and determine multi-channel approaches that reach customers at the most relevant moments. She also serves as a resource to account services and creative services to produce results-based, strategy-driven work for clients, including J.M. Smuckers, Betty Crocker, Madison Gas and Electric, and online cataloger, Community Coffee.

Prior to her work at Ovation Marketing, Porior-Mayhew was vice president of marketing and communications for the Wisconsin Alumni Association. In this capacity, she developed multi-channel approaches to reaching UW-Madison alumni with relevant messages that keep them connected to the university.

She holds a bachelor's of art in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from Cardinal Stritch College, Milwaukee, Wis.. She has been a frequent speaker for (CASE) the Council for the Advancement of Secondary Education, and she has also spoken at direct marketing and internet marketing conferences. In her free time, she and her husband, Jim, ballroom dance, and belong to wine-tasting and biking groups. She has a young son, James, who always keeps her hopping.
