I would recommend the Financial Management for the Health Care Professional course at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Executive Education to others for many reasons. The instructors were wonderful, presenting the material in an easy-to-understand way that directly related to my work. I was able to connect with and learn from my peers, thanks to the small group size. The Fluno Center was an excellent venue—parking, learning, and dining all under one roof helped to accelerate my learning. The course’s schedule allowed for easy travel time. Thanks to this course, financial reports are no longer foreign to me—I find it much easier to conceptualize the relationship between finance and business. Deciphering the breakdown of these reports is part of my day-to-day work, and I am grateful for my improved understanding. Having more financial knowledge from the class gives me a springboard to anticipate our health care challenges that lie ahead, assess processes thoroughly, and find new ways to deliver care.
