Robert Shaver

Bob Shaver, MBA, is program director for Basic Management in Executive Education at University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Business. In addition to developing, teaching and managing the Basic Management certificate series, Bob designs and delivers customized employee surveys and on-site custom programs for companies such as Caterpillar, CUNA Mutual Group, Elkay Manufacturing Company, Promega, Swiss Colony and Wausau Papers. Prior to his academic appointment in 1990, Bob had more than 20 years of corporate and government work experience, including 10 years of first-line, middle and executive management experience.

Dale Feinauer

Dale Feinauer received his Bachelors of Science (Spring 1979), Masters of Labor and Human Resources (Spring 1982), and Ph.D. in Labor and Human Resources (Spring 1983), from The Ohio State University. He has been a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh since 1983, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in both human resources and management. Dale has engaged in consulting for over 150 organizations in the areas of employee empowerment, team building, reengineering, compensation, training, planning, organizational culture, managing organizational change, board/CEO relations, board roles in the management of not-for-profit organizations, recruitment, performance appraisal and human resource planning. He has conducted over 350 training seminars for local, national and international audiences. Active in his community, Dale has provided volunteer services to over 100 organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors of Evergreen Manor Retirement Community for 10 years. He has also been president of the Omro Schools Board of Education, the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Faculty Senate and the Winnebago County Association for Retarded Citizens.

Chris Hinrichs

Chris Hinrichs is an adult educator and consultant in human relations training and leadership. He helps managers learn team-building, conflict resolution, creative problem solving and interpersonal communication skills by leading hands-on outdoor experiences. A former course designer, trainer and director for Outward Bound schools, Chris has served organizations such as CUNA Mutual Insurance, Pillsbury Corporation, First Bank System of Minneapolis and Yale School of Management.

Susan Schierstedt

Susan Schierstedt is director of the Wisconsin Family Business Forum, a principal in Schierstedt & Associates and an instructor of management and information systems for the College of Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Her areas of specialization include analysis of the management process and implementation of technologies for increased management effectiveness. She teaches management information systems, marketing management and general management courses at graduate and undergraduate levels. Her MBA is from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Lori L. Silverman

Lori Silverman is the owner of Partners for Progress®, a management consulting firm dedicated to helping organizations think differently. Lori’s highly energized and enthusiastic speaking approach, and magical stories inspire her audiences to take action. Lori is a member of the National Speakers Association. Lori has authored over 75 articles and workbooks on the topics of strategic planning, teamwork, self-managed teams, organizational transformation,achieving customer satisfaction and how to influence others. Lori holds a B.S. degree in psychology and an M.S. degree in counseling and guidance, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also has an MBA degree from Edgewood College, Madison, Wis.

Donald Swanson

Donald Swanson, B.A., M.Div has been the Director of Pastoral Services for FHN, an Integrated Health Care System in Freeport Illinois since 1991. In addition to providing counseling and intervention services to patients and families Don assists FHN with strategy development and deployment as the Director of Planning, a role he assumed in 2000.

As a trainer and keynote speaker Don has been warmly received by national conferences as well as corporations such as Hamilton-Sundstrand, Chrysler, Honeywell Sensing and Control and the American Hospital Association.

Don is a Board Certified Chaplain and a member of the Association for Professional Chaplains and the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development.

The University of Wisconsin–Madison, as a member of the University Continuing Education Association (UCEA), authorizes this course for 2.0 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or 20 hours.
