Day 1

Leading Well

  • Clarify what leadership is and what effective leaders do to help enhance performance
  • Understand situational, transactional and transformational approaches to leadership
  • Deepen your insight regarding your leadership and coaching style
  • Learn to translate organizational vision into a clear vision and goals for your area

Day 2

Leading and Coaching for Development

  • Understand the behavioral changes necessary to learn how to lead effectively
  • Clarify what people need to exert maximum effort and achieve maximum performance
  • Analyze performance problems (yours and others) and determine how to resolve them
  • Determine who, how, when and why you should coach
  • Understand the critical elements to successful coaching
  • Different coaching methods: process, performance, problems and informal
  • Practice coaching sessions

Day 3

A Coaching Boot Camp

  • Becoming coachable
  • Providing ground rules for the coaching conversation
  • Giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Developing a coaching action plan to address a real performance gap in your workplace
  • Practicing key coaching steps with real-life scenarios
  • Coaching the coach

Day 3 — 8:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Session
