Ann Kinkade

Ann’s responsibilities at the Family Business Center include developing the strategy and overseeing its implementation at this rapidly growing membership organization. She develops the educational programming that addresses the unique challenges faced by the FBC members, directs all Center activities, and manages external relationships, the advisory board and FBC staff. She also developed and teaches a course, “Issues in Family Business Ownership” in the School of Business where her primary constituents are the next generation successors in family businesses.
Outside of the FBC, she instructs professional advisors who work with family businesses and advises business owning families in succession planning. Ann frequently gives lectures and presentations to trade associations, professional organizations, and community groups on succession planning and family business topics. In 2005 she was awarded the Family Firm Institute’s Certificate in Family Business Advising. Professional development includes active participation in the Family Firm Institute, the Family Business Network and the National Association of Corporate Directors, among others.

Joyce Fasanella
Outreach Administrator
Joyce comes to the Family Business Center with an extensive background in business education and office experience. She received her undergraduate degree from UW-Stevens Point and earned her masters degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. Joyce taught at two-year colleges in Florida, Iowa and Wisconsin. Her executive support experiences include the American Express Company, Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation and the UW Medical School. Her current position with the FBC includes member relations and marketing responsibilities.

Jennifer Laack
Center Coordinator
Jennifer Laack joined the Family Business Center as the Center Coordinator in February 2008. She has a background in office administration and customer service. As the Center Coordinator she will be providing office support to the FBC and assisting Members of the FBC with their needs.
