Steve Bell is the Chairman, President and CEO of WoodTrust Financial Corporation and WoodTrust Bank and also the Chairman and CEO of WoodTrust Asset Management. Chad Kane is President and COO of WoodTrust Asset Management, Vice President of WoodTrust Financial Corporation and Executive Vice President of WoodTrust Bank.
The Bell family became involved with WoodTrust in 1952 when Chester O. Bell moved to Wisconsin Rapids and joined the Board of Directors of the company. Over the following decades Bell acquired additional ownership in WoodTrust. In the late 1970’s, the company experienced severe problems and bank management opted for a sale of the company.
t that time, Bell and his son Steve were able to negotiate the purchase of a controlling interest in WoodTrust. Since then the Bell family has been the driving force behind the resurgence of the company. Steve Bell’s nephew, Chad Kane, joined the family business in 1996 and is actively involved in the management and operations of the various WoodTrust companies.
