Project managers must know how to negotiate and manage subcontracts with great care or disputes and claims can cause delays and affect cost, schedule and technical performance. You’ll learn the basics of what to do (and what not to do) in defining, planning and managing subcontracts. Project managers also negotiate and reach agreements with people within their organizations who provide some type of service to their projects. Therefore, we’ll place emphasis on how to negotiate effectively with others because it is an important skill competence of successful project managers.
