Joann (Jo) Eisenhart is Senior Vice President for Human Resources at Pfizer, Inc., leading the Manager and Operational Support organization.
Prior to joining Pfizer in 2001, Jo worked at Rohm & Haas Company – a specialty chemical company in Philadelphia. While at Rohm & Haas, Jo spent eight years in Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness and eight years as a Research Scientist in the Polymers division. Over her tenure at Pfizer, Jo served as Group Director for HR for the Groton/New London Labs. Following this she led HR for the US Region and the Worldwide Development organization. In 2005, Jo was appointed Vice President of Human Resources for Pfizer’s Global R&D organization before assuming her current role in 2008.
Dr. Eisenhart holds a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois-Urbana. In 2006, she completed her Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Development at The Fielding Graduate Institute, where her dissertation research focused on the topic of women, leadership and power in large corporations.
